The Office of the Pastor has officially entered the 'blogosphere'. Why? Well here are some of the things we hope to accomplish through this blog:

- ...and share whatever else that comes to mind

So, let me encourage you to join in on the discussion. Feel free to post your thoughts and comments at the end of each post and give your feedback. Let's learn together, grow together, and share life together.

As a Body of thousands of Believers, we want to be intentional about using our collective resources to bless the community. Each month different items are brought in that will benefit the work of a local ministry or agency. Whether it is through bringing in schools supplies at the beginning of the school year or canned goods for the local food bank, Bring It In is a simple way for an individual or family to partner in God�s work in Winston-Salem.

Just purchase the specified items and drop them in the Bring It In bins located in the entrance ways of Calvary Baptist Church; we will deliver the goods.

Calvary Jazz Orchestra: Has released a new CD!! This CD is available in the Music Office for a suggested donation of $10. You can also call 336.714.5425

August 22-23: "Raise Up a Child", the newest parenting seminar from Walk Thru the Bible. The seminar begins Friday at 7:00pm. The cost is $15 per person. Register in the main lobby or at calvarynow.com/familycare.

August 31: New Member Orientation in the Chambers Room from 9:00-12:00 noon. This class is for those who have not completed the class for membership requirement, and/or those that would like to learn about the ministries of Calvary. For more information contact 336.714.5434.

September 8: Dinner with the Pastor- Come meet Pastor Al Gilbert, his wife (KK) and additional staff and learn about our mission and ministries. To learn more contact the evangelism office at 336.714.5434.

October 10-12: Join other couples from Calvary at the Fall Festival of marriage. Hear Gary & Barb Rosberg and participate in conference workshops during a weekend in the mountains.
